The Borrower contacted TaliMar Financial because they were seeking a short-term bridge loan to pay off another bridge loan that was nearing maturity. Our loan origination team is seeing a big increase in these types of loan requests as banks are becoming increasingly conservative in their underwriting and look to close out existing loans to add liquidity to their balance sheet.
The biggest hurdle on this transaction was that the property was located in a heavily industrial area of San Diego and the client was looking to convert the use to multi-family.
